Women on Target® clinics\, sponsored by the NRA\, offer a great starting point. These educational\, informational shooting clinics are specifically designed to teach women about firearm safety and the basics of shooting accurately. It’s a great event to bring family and/or a friend(s) to share the learning experience and gain confidence together at handling and shooting firearms. \nBy participating\, you’ll gain the confidence to handle and use a firearm safely. Women On Target® Instructional Clinics are exclusively for women\, providing a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you’re handling a gun for the first time or just need a refresher\, these clinics offer a safe space for you to learn and grow. There will be someone available to each of you as a resource person while you are learning and practicing. You’ll feel comfortable right away in the full-day clinic\, where you’ll receive hands-on instruction tailored to your needs. No prior experience or equipment is required to join in.

Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or looking to test your skills for the first time\, our pistol shoots offer the perfect opportunity to push yourself to new heights. Experience the thrill of competition in a supportive and welcoming environment. Show off your accuracy\, speed\, and precision as you tackle various shooting scenarios. Don’t miss out on the excitement – come join us for an unforgettable experience at our gun club pistol shoots! All shoots are open to the public unless noted. Bring your spouse\, children and/or friends to shoot with you. The more kids that are there to learn to shoot the better! \nMars Rod and Gun Club\, Inc. will be sponsoring several pistol shoots throughout the summer. Bill Caudill\, the organizer of the pistol shoots\, announced the next date in August 29th at the meeting. \n\nRimfire and Centerfire Combined\nRegistration starts at 9:00 am.\nMandatory Safety Meeting at 9:45 AM\nThe Texas Star may be present! Have you got to shoot at it yet? I hear its a blast!\nShooting from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM\nHearing and eye protection mandatory\nBring your gun(s) and ammo\n$10.00 to participate (children shoot free)\nDonation for Lunch\n\nSet up will start at 8:00 AM for anyone wanting to help/learn.
